Ora kicks in perfectly for Day 1 of the 29er Worlds
Perfect conditions on Lake Garda for the 1st day of the worlds allowed the race officials to get in 3 races for each of the 4 flights. The Ora filled in on schedule giving a brisk 20 knot breeze throughout the day. Amongst the 186 competing for the World championships are a number of 49er sailors who finished their Worlds last week, including the new World Champion Nathan Outteridge from Australia. However it is his sister Haylee sailing with Iain Jenson who leads after day 1. Some excellent British performances left 6 of our team of 33 lying in the top 25 at the end of the day.
