Long Day for 29ers on day 2 of Youth Nationals
After the strong winds overnight in Largs, the breeze gradually decreased during the morning, and by the time the fleet launched at 1.00pm after waiting for the RS.X"s to complete their 3 races, there was just a steady 10 knots from the East. Race Officer Peter Saxton got 4 races underway without delay, although the final race had to be shortened because of the risk of losing the breeze altogether. Bleddyn & Nick increased their lead with a 1,5,1,1, and after discarding their OCS from race 3, Max Richardson and Alex Groves finished the day in 2nd with 2,2,3. A consistent performance from the Romano brothers, Art & Ed counting 2,1,6,6, sees them in 3rd overall. Lilly Carlisle & Becky Wallbank are 1st girls on countback from Becky Diamond & Fiona Hampshire. See title link for full results.
