A Blustery Start to the Nationals!
A wet and windy day greeted the 55 boats, many who had come from as far away as Norway and France. Three races were scheduled but as the wind increased through the day and more was on its way the fleet were sent home after two. It was a tough day for many of the fleet but for those who could handle the conditions there was some spectacular sailing to be had.Racing in 2 flights the first of the qualifying races were sailed on the one course 5 mins apart. Max Richardson and Alex Groves won both their heats as did Bleddyn Mon and Tom Humpreys.Qualifying races continue on Tuesday and Wednesday when the fleet gets split into Gold and Silver for the finals.
