We desperately need volunteers to help with rescue and beach duties at Weymouth for the 29er worlds and 49er Europeans. It looks like we have over 100 in each fleet so it will be quite a spectacle for anyone on the water! If you can help please contact Dave Hall ([email protected]) as soon as possible.Thank you those who have already volunteered.
At the moment we are finalising the Winter 2006/2007 Open Training programme.
(c) The daggerboard and rudder blade non-alloy ends may be sanded, filled or painted in order to maintain their original supplied shape.Centreboards and Rudder Trunks may only be packed with a soft carpet or felt material. This weekend"s Glyn Charles Memorial Pursuit Race, run by Hayling Island Sailing Club on Saturday 17 June, was an absolute classic, with 120 dinghy and keelboat entries enjoying closely fought racing around Chichester Harbour? (SailWorld).Sarah Martin & Nicola Groves led the group of ten 29ers, while James Peters & Oli Spensley-Corfield were runners-up in the junior (u16) division. Some great 29er photos at:http://www.sailshots.co.uk/Glynncharles/index.htmlThis annual event is run in memory of Glyn Charles, one of Britain"s greatest sailing talents, who was tragically lost in the 1998 Sydney Hobart Race, and to raise funds for the John Merricks Sailing Trust, set up following the death of Glyn"s great friend John Merricks in a car accident in 1997.

Click the Link to the Worlds Website for NOR etc.We need volunteers at the 29er worlds to help with a number of tasks such as beech masters, results and rescue. I am sure many of you that are racing have relatives that will be there for the week that are just itching to help rather than sit in the WPNSA cafe all week! Perhaps you can let me know ASAP if you or anyone you know can help. Thanks Dave Hall
